iXware International, a Netherlands based Independent Software Vendor, was founded in 1988 with a focus on message automation and - since the second half of the 1990’s - Unified Messaging. iXware International has become a principal player in the Enterprise market for Unified Messaging solutions and occupies a prominent position in terms of these solutions in the ASP and carrier environment.

iXware International is located in Vlaardingen, a fifteen-minute drive from Rotterdam International Airport and less then an hour from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The company is privately owned and funded by management and employees, and has been profitable throughout its existence.

iXware – the product

The iXware platform is used by Dutch telecom operator KPN to provide ASP Unified Messaging functionality to their corporate telco accounts. The iXware ASP deployments represent well over a million users sending and receiving millions of messages every month! These implementations are testament to the stability and scalability of the iXware platform. The scalability of the software and the license structure, however, makes iXware available for smaller companies and multinationals alike.

iXware can be a stand-alone solution for e-mail, fax, voicemail, telex and SMS. But it can also be used as a gateway to add fax, SMS, telex and/or voicemail functionality to existing e-mail servers such as MS Exchange and Lotus Domino. iXware also automates messaging in any of the message formats from business applications that can generate XML messages or spool files regardless of the platform they run on.

Market coverage

iXware International markets its software through a growing number of dedicated National Sales Organizations (NSO’s) and Value Added Distributors (VAD’s).
